This piece was initally written for a live performance. The video played and was triggered during performance at the Upgrade! International at Oklahoma City. It was performed with Tredy Beauregard along with a few other pieces, such as Cymatics and 'Fire and Ice'.
I have always likeed the ide of video manipulation. You can really draw out an expression that someone woudl normally make in an instant, or spped past nonessential informaiton. Humans become puppets, and you the puppeteer.
The majority of the found footage comes from a social video piece by a psychologist form the University of Oklahoma. Thats my alma mater!
This piece uses nature imagery and subatomic imagery to depict the litaral human and animal condition. Thrown in little consumerism and fifties red scare culture and you've got a hit! (or so I thought while making this) Now enjoy the mysterious mating haits of the human creature! Stare with morbid curiosity! Turn your speaker up loud to wake the neighbors! Rarely caught on film!!! Just kidding!
